China Opposes Division Of J And K, Says It Has ‘Chinese Territories’

China on Thursday, 31 October, voiced strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to India’s move of officially establishing new union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, which they claim includes “Chinese territories,” Chinese media People’s Daily reported.

Following the official bifurcation of the state into J&k and Ladakh union territories, GC Murmu was sworn-in as the first lieutenant governor of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, Radha Krishna Mathur was sworn-in as the first Lt Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh.
