Buying New Vehicles: Govt Mulling To Reduce Documentation Charges brighterkashmir.com
The government is considering to reduce the documentation charges of new vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir from nine percent to five percent. The proposal in this regard has been sent to the higher authorities 15 days ago and fresh directions are awaited.
The development comes days after the transporters from Jammu hit the streets against the government’s decision of increasing the charges from documents of new vehicles.
Sources privy to the development said that the officials in the Regional Transport Office (RTO) have sent a proposal to the Civil Secretariat for the reduction of document charges for new vehicles.
